Three years ago, Nick Ruppman, a former Sachs colleague began the "Sachs Youth Outreach Program". Under Nick's direction, several Sachs employees volunteered to host 3-5 events for underprivileged youth in connection with Habitat for Humanity. Those of us who had the privilege to participate remember the halloween outing, a bowling event in Hyde Park, a Holiday excursion and even an outdoor mural painting event in the summer. Nick helped us realize how fortunate we all are and what a gift it is to give our time and attention to kids.

And now you have a wonderful opportunity to share in the work that Nick began in a way that will make you feel truly blessed. Kacey Kelly and Stephanie Stein have offered to assist in re-starting the Sachs Youth Outreach Program. As a group we will plan 3-5 outings per year which will include events similar to those from years past. In order to plan our year we'd like to get a count of those employees willing to be identified as Youth Outreach members. Your commitment would involve participation in a minimum of two events per year for a total of approximately 6 hours in the year's time period. We'd provide you with details and instructions on upcoming events asking you to show up, chaperone/assist in the event, and perhaps help clean up. Transportation for the kids has historically been sponsored by Sachs Group.

Family and friends are encouraged to participate as this is an ideal opportunity to "lead by example". SYOP will provide our extended "Sachs family" with personal growth opportunities and share our unique talents for the benefit of others. Please respond by email of your support and enthusiasm.
